in the fabric of their new album “Unravelled” that is enchanting to listeners both youngand old. The sound is definitely their own with a feel that is somewhere between the very
lively Sheryl Crow and the smooth authenticity of Alison Krauss.
It is a 6 piece band fronted by Chelsi Marie and DaLona Foster. Both play multiple instruments, their vocals are solid and mesmerizing. Each of the 6 members play
multiple instruments in the band which adds to the excitement and finesse at every event. Many of them have shared stages with reputable artists and played on stages across the
nation. In their own hometown of Seattle Chelsi and DaLona have played at the Seattle Center, Puyallup Fair, and even played at Qwest Field. There will undoubtedly be just us
much exposure and adventure to be had as this new record continues to gain attention and spins.
There is just so much to be taken in when seeing Chasing Jane live. The mandolin and lap steel welcome you in, but it seems every song adds something new…piano,
electric guitars, harmonicas, shaker, and banjo weaving their way through the tunes as well. There are also harmonies cleverly ghosting their way in from the edges of every
phrase keeping you on your toes waiting for more. No moment is dull. Even the ballads were written with such passion that you are just hanging on to every word and phrase.
The band plans on advocating for foster care and children in need. Though they have not yet chosen a specific agency to represent, both Chelsi and DaLona are heavily
involved in the concept already. Chelsi has spoken for several years on behalf of troubled youth in Washington State and also does music therapy with kids and teens at local group
homes. DaLona worked at a well known world relief organization for two years and recently arrived home from a trip to Thailand where she assisted with children’s needs in
nine orphanages throughout the country.
Chasing Jane has a sound that would fit in easily on stages aside any Indie, Americana, or Folk/Rock/Pop groups. The band is professional, personable, and open to
the opportunities awaiting them. Whether they perform with the whole band at a popular venue or just an acoustic set for a private audience, the performance is polished and the
atmosphere is very warm and drawing.
